The current state of Liverpool and Manchester City
Manchester City v Leicester City
Man City's 1-0 win over Leicester this morning sees them sitting back on top of the premier league table. Brendan Roger's men held a promising show of defence and attack but failed to capitalise in Etihad. Vincent Kompany, never had a shot on target outside the box this season rocketed the ball in the top right corner erupting Etihad stadium. Although it wasn't the prettiest performance from Guardiola, it was enough to seal the 3 points as they head to Brighton for the final game.

So where does this put Liverpool?
There is still hope for Liverpool although it may be slim. Man city is currently leading by one point on the table with both teams having to play another game next week. These final games are crucial for both sides. Due to how close they are on points, neither team cannot afford to drop points. Liverpool will be hosting Wolves at Anfield, while Man City will play the almost relegated Brighton Hove & Albion. If Both teams win their games, Man City will retrieve the title. If ANY team loses, the other would take the trophy. This therefore puts Liverpool in a tough situation, keep in mind they will also be playing Barcelona at home tomorrow.
Liverpool yet another season trophy less is definitely inevitable at this point.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's post as we find out who will book a spot at the Champions League Grand Final.
